A candidate for Admission to 2 year (4 – Semesters) B.Ed. Course has to Qualify the Education Common Entrance Test (Ed.CET) Conducted by Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Government of Telangana for the Concerned Academic Year.

A Common Entrance Test, designated as Telangana Education Common Entrance Test-2024 (TG Ed.CET-2024) will be conducted by Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education for admission in to B.Ed (Two years) Regular Course in the Colleges of Education in Telangana State for the academic year 2024-2025.

TG EdCET Exam Syllabus Overview
The TG EdCET exam consists of three parts: Part A (General English), Part B (General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude), and Part C (Methodology). The total duration of the exam is two hours, and the total marks are 150. You can choose one of the five methodologies based on your subject preference: Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science, Social Studies, or English.

To be eligible for the TG EdCET exam, you need to have a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/BC/PWD candidates). You also need to be a citizen of India and a resident of Telangana.
After qualifying the TG EdCET exam, you need to participate in the web counselling process to get admission in one of the B.Ed colleges affiliated to TSCHE. The web counselling process involves registration, payment of processing fee, verification of documents, exercising web options, seat allotment, and reporting to the allotted college.
