βœ… TG Ed.CET Counselling Process – Step-by-Step

Step 1: Check Counselling Notification

Visit the official TG Ed.CET counselling website (edcetadm.tsche.ac.in) and read the official counselling notice.


Step 2: Register Online for Counselling

  • Pay the counselling registration fee online.

  • Fee is usually around β‚Ή800 (β‚Ή500 for SC/ST candidates).

  • After payment, take a printout of the fee receipt.


Step 3: Attend Certificate Verification

  • Go to the help center (certificate verification center) as per your rank.

  • Carry original documents (see list below).

  • Your documents will be verified and a login ID & password will be given.


Step 4: Web Option Entry (Select Colleges)

  • Use your login ID to log in to the counselling portal.

  • Select your preferred B.Ed colleges and methodology (subject).

  • Save and submit your web options before the last date.


Step 5: Seat Allotment

  • Seats will be allotted based on:

    • Your Ed.CET rank

    • Reservation category

    • College preference

  • Download the seat allotment letter.


Step 6: Reporting to College

  • Report to the allotted college with all documents and pay the admission fee.

  • Complete the admission process before the deadline.

If you are planning to take admission in a B.Ed course in Telangana, then TG Ed.CET 2025 is the entrance exam you must appear for. But before applying, it’s very important to know whether you are eligible and what reservation benefits you can get.

In this blog, we explain TG Ed.CET eligibility criteria and seat reservation rules in a simple and easy way.

βœ… TG Ed.CET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality

  • You must be an Indian citizen.
  • You should belong to Telangana or Andhra Pradesh (as per local/non-local rules).

2. Educational Qualification

  • You should have passed or be appearing in the final year of any Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, B.E., B.Tech, BBA, BCA, M.A., M.Sc., etc.)
  • You must have at least 50% marks in your qualifying degree.
    πŸ‘‰ For SC/ST/BC/PH candidates, minimum 40% marks is enough.

πŸ“Œ Note: For B.E. / B.Tech students, only those with Mathematics and Science background can apply for the Mathematics or Physical Sciences methodology.


3. Minimum Age Limit

  • You must be at least 19 years old as on 1st July 2025.
  • There is no upper age limit.

4. Subjects You Studied Matter

You must have studied at least one school subject as a part of your graduation to choose your methodology in B.Ed.
